With over 15 years of litigation experience in business, real estate, trusts & estates, insurance, complex-litigation, financial injury, and personal injury cases, including alternative-dispute-resolution and appeals, Attorney Paul Marks directs litigation at Sivia Law.


Paul Marks joined the Sivia Law family in 2014 as a litigation and business transaction associate. Marks also focuses on business entity matters, from creation, through asset protection, and dissolution. While at Sivia Law, Paul has argued and won appeals on behalf of clients before the Illinois Supreme Court and Illinois Appellate Court in a shareholder dispute.


Paul also acts as general counsel for many of his small-business clients, guiding them through a variety matters. In addition to representing his clients in litigation, he also counsels them on a wide range of issues including construction disputes, property-line disputes, business ownership disputes, employment, lease negotiation, and fraud.


Personal leadership roles have included membership of the following: Illinois State Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, American Bar Association (Business Law Section), American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Madison County Bar Association (President 2008-2009), Tri-City Bar Association (President 2004), Alton-Wood River Bar Association, Electrical Cooperative Bar Association, Coles-Cumberland Bar Association, Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.
