Saundra McDowell

With over 15 years of legal experience, Saundra McDowell focuses on real estate, business litigation, contracts, estate planning, and probate litigation.
Saundra is a veteran of the United States Air Force. She was an ICU medical technician on active duty for six years and then spent two years in the Air Force Reserves managing and training other Airmen. She was deployed after 9/11 and administered in the care of our most critically injured soldiers. She rose to the rank of Technical Sergeant before getting out of the service to attend law school. During her military service, Saundra was awarded the Medical Technician of the Quarter Award while on active duty and the Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Airman of the Year Award in the Reserves.
Saundra graduated from Drake University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and politics. She graduated with her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law. While in law school, she was elected Vice President of the Student Bar Association and served on the Trial Practice team.
After graduating law school, Saundra worked in private practice for two different firms and owned her own law firm in Kansas City, Missouri. Saundra was a member of the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court in Kansas City, Missouri. While working in private practice, Saundra was selected as a SuperLawyers Rising Star three years in a row.
She has worked tirelessly for the State of Missouri in Jefferson City, Missouri uncovering and exposing Medicaid fraud as an Assistant Attorney General at the Attorney General’s Office and investigating and prosecuting securities fraud as the Director of Enforcement for the Securities Division. Saundra has also worked in compliance for a hedge fund in Chicago, Illinois.
Saundra McDowell ran for state-wide office in Missouri on two occasions; first in 2018 securing the nomination for Missouri State Auditor and then in 2020 for Governor of Missouri. Saundra has an avid interest in helping and defending the people of Missouri. She believes in God, Family, Country, in that order.
Saundra is married to Jonathan McDowell. They have five children, two sets of twins and one singleton. They attend church at First Assembly Church in St. Peters, Missouri.
