Steps To Create An LLC

  1. Pick a name.
  2. Draft articles of organization.
  3. Have a statutory agent with an address in that state.
  4. Prepare a cover sheet.
  5. Deliver the cover sheet and signed copies of the articles of organization to your state’s office secretary of state’s.
  6. Pay your state’s filing fees.
Even if you plan on filing your Missouri LLC or Illinois LLC yourself, you may consider consulting with a legal professional to help you comply with your state’s laws and avoid fines or debts.
